ABOUT US
We empower medics to SOAR after service!
Leaving the military is a significant transition, especially for healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering quality services to 9.5 million beneficiaries and often in high-stress environments. Transitioning service members are at high risk for suicide and we are committed to doing our part! We support our healthcare heroes by providing psychological safety to navigate the emotional turbulence associated with leaving the military and empower them to smoothly navigate the civilian healthcare ecosystem.
Known Transition & Reintegration Challenges
Military healthcare professionals face unique emotional challenges when they leave the service, including:
• Loss of Identity: The transition can lead to a profound loss as they leave behind a role defining their purpose and identity.
• Emotional Residue: The memories of treating severely injured soldiers and dealing with life-and-death situations can linger, causing ongoing emotional distress.
• Isolation: Moving from a close-knit military community to civilian life can result in feelings of isolation and loneliness.
• Career Uncertainty: Adapting their skills to civilian healthcare settings or finding new career paths can be daunting and stressful.

Our Mission: At Caring Souls for Veterans, our mission is to end Veteran suicide by providing psychological safety and support to military healthcare professionals during their transition. We aim to help them navigate the civilian healthcare ecosystem through:
• Reintegration Counseling: Personalized counseling to help navigate the emotional and psychological aspects of leaving the military.
• Peer Support Networks: Connecting former military healthcare professionals with peers who understand their experiences and challenges.
• Career Transition Assistance: Resources and guidance for adapting military skills to civilian healthcare careers or exploring new opportunities.
• Wellness Programs: Workshops and activities focused on mental health, resilience, and building a fulfilling post-military life.
Why It Matters: Supporting military healthcare professionals during their transition is crucial for their well-being and the communities they join. By addressing their emotional needs and providing psychological safety, we help them build a new sense of purpose and belonging, ensuring they continue to soar and contribute their valuable skills to society.
Transitioning from the military presents a unique situation for each service member. Your donations help our team of caring advocates to fully support the military medic's transitioning needs. We look forward to your support and thank you in advance for your dedication to our military medical community.
