Virginia did it first!
The Commonwealth of Virginia established the founding recognition history for Military Healthcare Heroes Day in 2025. CSV is now expanding that recognition nationally while preserving the Virginia origin story.
The Call to Serve our Nation and The Compassion to Care for Others
Caring Souls for Veterans (CSV) created Military Healthcare Heroes Day to honor the leaders who carried the clinical, operational, and human weight of military healthcare. Our honorees served within the Military Health System, which cares for more than 9 million beneficiaries. They carried that standard of care into families, units, communities, and futures shaped by service.
Nominations are open from 15 October to 30 November 2026. Share their service, upload a photograph, and submit directly to CSV.
