Caring Souls for Veterans (CSV) is a military healthcare veteran-led nonprofit building a connected ecosystem that strengthens mental wellness, resilience, and reintegration success for transitioning military healthcare professionals. We support medics, corpsmen, nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals as they move from military service into civilian life and careers through retreats, reintegration programs, resilience coaching, education and training, and peer connection.
We serve military healthcare professionals from all branches who are preparing to separate, have recently separated, or are still navigating their transition — including medics, corpsmen, nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals. Some programs, like Operation ReWire, are designed for a specific group (transitioning and veteran military nurses), so each program lists its own eligibility.
There are several ways to stand with us: volunteer your time and skills, become a community partner, donate, or nominate a military healthcare hero for recognition. Volunteers lead workshops, mentor transitioning service members, and provide hands-on community support. Start with our volunteer sign-up form, or call us to talk about partnership opportunities.
Our office is located at 8401 Maryland Drive, Suite A, Richmond, VA 23294. We support transitioning military healthcare professionals from every branch, wherever they are in their transition — reach out and we will help you find the right program or resource.

Our core programs are Operation ReWire, a resiliency retreat for transitioning and veteran military nurses; Code PURPLE, our Reintegration Readiness Program for military healthcare professionals; Resilience Coaching; and Education and Training. We also honor service through Military Healthcare Honors.
Operation ReWire is a 3-day, 2-night in-person resiliency retreat for transitioning and veteran military registered nurses. Held in small cohorts of about 10, it focuses on transition and reintegration, peer connection, and mental wellness in a setting built by and for military healthcare professionals.
Code PURPLE is our Reintegration Readiness Program for military healthcare professionals — nurses, medics, corpsmen, physicians, and allied health — from all branches. It is designed for those within 12 months of separation, recently separated, or still navigating transition, and focuses on mindset transformation, cultural integration, and community connection.
Each program has its own application and eligibility requirements. Visit the program’s page and complete the application; our team reviews every submission and will follow up with next steps, which may include a short interview. Questions? Call (571) 479-0516.
