Within her 26-year tenure, Dr. Harris led healthcare operations in large military treatment facilities, directly overseeing clinical operations for 28.5K patients, 3K+ personnel, and managed multi-million-dollar budgets. She has extensive expertise leading large-scale transformations in various federal healthcare arenas including the VA, DoD, and NASA.

As an award-winning, dedicated change agent committed to the Veteran community, Dr. Harris is the founder of Caring Souls for Veterans, the first nonprofit solely dedicated to ending Veteran suicide amongst transitioning healthcare professionals. She led the initiative for the Gubernatorial proclamation establishing Virginia’s first-ever Military Healthcare Heroes Day.
Recognized as a national leader of psychological health and safety and a 2025

Center for Women Veterans Trailblazer Award recipient, Dr. Harris developed Resilience Programs prioritizing mental health for Veterans transitioning into large civilian organizations. One of her programs received an organization’s highest honors for the transition of over 500 Veterans who have successfully transitioned into the corporate culture while maintaining a 95% retention rate after one year, 50 percent higher than the national average.

Dr. Harris has been featured on a myriad of podcasts and other social media channels. When Dr. Harris is not busy improving lives of others, she finds joy spending time with her 18-year-old son, Dylan, a Hampton University rising sophomore, and their dog Dez, the Irish Doodle.
